Rather than go on about the Past, let's look at the Present - May! As it is May the 4th Be with You & Revenge of the Fifth (and all the others) and the upcoming release of The Mandalorian and Grogu movie in theaters, I figure this give me a fine opportunity to wax poetic on the STAR WARS Black Series line going into the anniversary.

I went back to some of my previous "requests" and "wish lists" to help Hasbro build up the future of the Black Series. This is ESPECIALLY important as we are fast approaching 2027 - and the 50th Anniversary of the release of the original Star Wars in theaters.

So, along those lines, I was pondering what figures I'd like to see out there. I'm mostly focusing on the original STAR WARS but there are a few iconic figures and things that could be done too.

C-3PO
HAN SOLO (Gunner)
CHEWBACCA (Pilot)
LUKE SKYWALKER (Gunner)

Face it, some figures need updating. Hasbro's been doing that with the Han Solo, Tatooine Luke, Princess Leia and Sandtroooper. But how can it be SO LONG since we've had a decent protocol droid?! I mean, I'm STILL looking for the ESB one that came with Chewbacca! In fact, just use THAT figure with some updated paint-ops! I know we JUST got the new updated Han Solo. But I was sad to see that they didn't include his iconic "driving" gloves. As well to add to it, another head, this with the headset he has in several scenes. And THAT brought me into paining him with Chewie with the head set too. Now that we have THOSE... let's finish it off with Luke with the headset, gunning to protect the Falcon during the escape from the Death Star!

BIGGS DARKLIGHTER
WEDGE ANTILLES
CAPTAIN ANTILLES
IIMPERIAL SNOW TROOPER w/E-WEB CANNON

I mean if we already have a new X-Wing Pilot figure, let's build out the pilots! And Biggs is a PERFECT candidate to start with! Along with Biggs, let's get an all-new Wedge Antilles figuer as well! Between STAR WAS and ROGUE ONE, with have Rebel Fleet Troopers, but we could ALWAYS use some officers. This is especially true of named characters. And he'd go great with the new Princess Leia figure.

SLAVE/HUTT-SLAYER LEIA (Return of the Jedi)
OOLA THE DANCER (Return of the Jedi)

As I've said before: "Call her "Slave Leia, call her "Hutt-Slayer Leia", but dammit Hasbro MAKE this figure! Or more appropriately- MAKE THIS FIGURE AGAIN! This is an iconic version of Leia, one that shows in legions at conventions. ... Make it an online or Hasbro Pulse exclusive. But just do it! "

Speaking of iconic character, where's our Oola figure?! "Now that an Aayla Secura figure has arrived in the Black series... we need to have the ORIGINAL Twi'lek, Oola the Dancer. Played by Femi Taylor, Oola stood out in a room full of aliens!"

Ralph McQuarrie Series

LUKE STARKILLER
STORMTROOPER

This line has ALREADY started with the 2-pack of Darth Vader and Obi-Wan from McQuarrie in 2022 Disney Store! So let's continue it to its NECESSARY path! Since we already have the McQuarrie Vader, we need the Luke Starkiller to go face off in the hallway. I mean, if Hasbro wants to, they can make it a new 2-pack of that Vader with a new Starkiller! Have the Luke with two head, mask on and mask off. And I'll say it YET again. "But really, I've been waiting TOO DAMN LONG for 6" version of the McQuarrie Stormtroopers and my patience has ENDED!" This would come with alternate helmet heads, shield and lightsabers.

To be honest, I would be HAPPY to have a bunch more McQuarrie version figures as well, like the old run Hasbro did in 3 3/4's. But I'd REALLY like to have at least these!

UPDATED VEHICLES

Along with the new, I'd say for the 50th Anniversary Hasbro should bring back the Black Series Landpeeder and the Snow Snow Speeder. Either just the vehicles or modified "new" versions of Luke Skywalker and Dak, respectively.
