STAR WARS MIGHTY MUGGS SERIES 3! HOT TOYS - PREDATOR CLEANER VERSION VIDEO! CRUSH!
Click Here Is Hasbro Marvel Legends Increasing in price?! |

Best Movie Line: Hasbro/Transformers
Capt. Collector: Transformers, hands down. This was a really tough one for Hasbro to tackle, due to the complexity of the film designs, and they did an amazing job. An awesome movie + awesome toys = major sales.
Umpire From the most eagerly anticipated film from last summer It's a natural
Toygodd : Hasbro did a tremendous job with both of these properties. Transformers ripped off the shelves so quickly that if you werenıt fast you missed out on some cool toys. Star Wars was a real treat with so many products to choose from. Congratulations to Hasbro!
Randy: I really dig the range of TF products that were released, from kids figures to the Ultimate Bumblebee that transforms on its own! But can I PLEASE have Voyager version of Barricade and Blackout now?!
Best Male Figure 6": Mattel/ Clayface
Capt. Collector : Iıve got to go with Mattelıs amazing Clayface, with Steel being a close second. Clayface is a great sculpt, with tons of detail, sharp paint, and bendy arms!!
Umpire : Great character, a wonderful sculpt
Toygodd: While I never saw one on the shelf I did see the review in Capt. Collectorıs column. Very cool figure indeed.
Randy: Itıs debatable whether a shape shifting glob of clay is still a man, but this is a fine figure from Mattel.
Best Male Figure 12": Sideshow Collectibles/ANH Obi Wan Kenobi
Capt. Collector: Sideshow had some cool 12" ers this year, but Old Ben captured him perfectly.
Umpire: Old Ben was a hit when we saw him at Celebration IV!
Toygodd: Ben! Damn straight.
Randy: One of the best head sculpts to come from Sideshow in recent time. Now we just need more figures of the same quality!
Best Mega/Build A Figure: Marvel Toys/ PITT
Capt. Collector: Long demanded by fans, Pitt literally and figuratively stood head & shoulders above the rest of the pack this year. Pitt delivers on every level.
Umpire: A huge, gratifying piece. A great choice by LCBH!
Toygodd : I waited for years for a PITT figure and Marvel Toys did not disappoint. Great job!!
Randy: The Build-A-Figure program is one of the best things to come out in the new century for collectors and fans alike.
Best Female Figure 6": Mattel/Blue Supergirl
Capt. Collector: Mattel took an existing figure, retooled all the right parts, and painted her to perfection. This might be one of my all-time favorite female figures ever.
Umpire: Yum, yum, she's quite well done. A true beauty.
Toygodd: Mattel did a really nice job on this figure. It just goes to show you that a female figure can look nice with articulation.
Randy: Supergirl is quite nice but I preferred Mattelıs DC Super Heroes Catwoman. What can I say? I love me the bad girls!
Best Female Figure 12": Sideshow Collectibles/ Leia in Boushh disguise
Capt. Collector: This has always been one of my all-time favorite Star Wars costumes, and Sideshow did a really bang-up job bringing this one to life.
Umpire: Sideshow shows great execution from this version of Leia as Bounty Hunter.
Toygodd: Very nicely done. Lots of detail and you almost expect her to speak! Randy: This was a tie with me between Leia and the Asajj Ventress figure.
Excellent detail work by Sideshow.
Best Playset /Vehicle: Mattel/My First Batmobile
Capt. Collector: What a novel concept! Toys that are fun for kids, that also appeal to adults! Tons of play value was packed unto this one, try & find one on the shelves now, I dare ya!
Umpire: Man, this was a fun toy. Full of fun stuff. Kids loved it too.
Toygodd: Just a really cool toy for kids to PLAY with. Great job.
Randy: Looks fun but the rest of AFTıs writers never let me try it out! They donıt know how to share-WAHHHH!
Best Exclusive: Mattel/Manbat
Capt. Collector:.Another one of my favorite characters, rendered perfectly by the Horsemen & Mattel. The only thing that would make me happier is a brown version.
Umpire: Package and soundchip rocked, a must have from '07!
Toygodd: From the packaging to the figure this was a super piece to get.
Randy: Kudos on the packaging "experience" of the Manbat. But Iım with Capt. Collector-I wouldıve preferred a brown version.
Best Doll / Plush: Plush/Ugly Doll - Doll Tonner/Batgirl
Capt. Collector : Those Tonner dolls are cool, and remind me of years past, going to FAO Schwartz and seeing really expensive dolls that were meant for high-society. Now Tonner makes Super Hero versions! Cool!
Umpire: Batgirl is posing right across from me, love what Tonner has done with her.Ugly Dolls just seem to grow on EVERYONE!
Toygodd: Ugly Dolls are justUgly but cute at the same time. UD keeps coming out with new designs and they sell quickly. Tonner Doll makes some very nice high end product. The Batgirl is very nice.
Randy: I donıt know what it is about the Tonner dolls but I always have to checkıem out in person every time I see them. Batgirl came off as one of the best of a great line.
Best Import: Hot Toys/Power Loader
???man: You truly have to see this one in person to appreciate it. If they make an Alien Queen in scale, I WILL own one. The Masterpiece Megatron also deserves a nod for sheer G1 Transformers coolness.
Umpire: It's like a geeks dream come true. And an accurate Ripley is a geek goddess.
Toygodd: I am not an Alien fan but if I was I would shell out the cash for this cool piece.
Randy: This was my present to myself for Christmas and I was NOT disappointed. Due to its sheer size, youıll feel like a kid again holding this behemoth. Hereıs hoping for an Alien Queen to match in 2008!
Best Block Figure: Toy2R/Qee Line
Capt. Collector: One thing I gotta give it up to Qees they are 100% art and design driven, and itıs really refreshing to me to see the artist be at the forefront of a product.
Umpire: A perennial favorite, Toy2r are just top shelf!
Toygodd: This is an interesting category. A lot of people donıt get what the Qee is. Through Raymond Choyıs (President of Toy2R) hard work, Qees are used in the commercial world by a lot of huge companies. Toy2R also continues to innovate the line with new designs, artists and sizes. Congratulations for a job well done.
Randy: For a line I have never understood, it keeps building each year and Toy2R is at the front of it. With the inclusion of licensed items from the Simpsons, it seems like there no end in sight for them.
Best Vinyl Figure: Upper Deck/ Brett Favre
Capt. Collector: Couldnıt have been more timely, could it?
Umpire: Lovin' ol' Brett! Go Pack!
Toygodd: Upperdeck has really come on in this category! Through the athletes they have signed they have made some very cool vinyl collectibles. If you are a sports fan you will like what they are doing.
Randy: Vinyl and sports figures I smell money to be made!
Best Bust: Gentle Giant Princess Leia
Capt. Collector: I am amazed that Gentle Giant is able to pump out such cool Star Wars pieces, year after year, consistently. I hope they never stop.
Umpire: Great sculpting and character to this piece, she is on display at Casa de Umpire!
Toygodd: Just a great likeness.
Randy: Gotta love the tilt of her head-same great attitude as the real characyter
Best Statue: Gentle Giant/Jabbaıs Palace
Capt. Collector: My heart has to go with Sideshowıs Jaws Maquette, but Iıve seen the Jabbaıs Palace statue, and it really is amazing and worthy of this award.
Umpire: Gentle Giant pushing the envelope with this massively cool piece.
Toygodd: is a cool piece. Through the use of magnets, Gentle Giant made it possible to put a ton of accessories on the platform. Jabba looks really life like. Great job.
Randy: In the words of Vader, "Impressivemost impressive."
Best Prop Replica: Dark Horse/WETA Ray Guns
Capt. Collector : My vote this year is for Master Replicaıs long-awaited Rocketeer helmet, but the Weta Ray Guns are very retro-cool, and are deserving of recognition.
Umpire: C'mon these are just nifty!
Toygodd: While these were very expensive and very limited, they were also very detailed and cool. I wish I could have afforded to add one to my collection!
Randy: What kid DOESNıT want a ray gun?! I think this is a great new item from Weta and Dark Horse.
Best Packaging: Hasbro/25th Anniversary G.I. Joe & Star Wars
Capt. Collector: Star Wars went with a totally new design for the 30th Anniversary, and it worked. GI Joeıs worked so well that these guys keep flying off the shelf every time they stock them.
Umpire: Got to give love to Joe, but alas, my heart belongs to Star Wars. That Hoth Exclusive packaging is too nice to open up.
Toygodd: Hasbro did a great job on both of these lines. Star Wars had some of the best packaging I have seen for their Target exclusive sets. The G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary packaging was stellar as well.
Randy: I didnıt even know Cobra HAD a theme song! These were just a lot of fun.
Best Company: Hasbro
Capt. Collector: Love em or hate em, they cranked out more product throughout the year than anybody. Look for them to be VERY strong in 2008.
Umpire: This is the company with all the huge licenses. A juggernaut of toy world.
Toygodd: With all of their licenses, they managed to put out a plethora of product with great distribution.
Randy: Is there any license they DONıT have?! Their presence is everywhere and in everything from kids to collector lines.
Most Improved Company: Gentle Giant
Capt. Collector: I think Gentle Giant has done some great stuff in 2007, and I was VERY impressed with the quality of their Hellboy line. For me, I have to give a nod to Mattel, who really stepped it up with their Super Hero offerings. I think Mattel wins a bunch of these in 2008.
Umpire: Quickly becoming one of my favorite companies, 2008 will be the year that GG goes over the top.
Toygodd: Gentle Giant has really come on strong this past year. They have great licenses, packaging, customer service and they are making action figures! Congratulations.
Randy: Iıll be fascinated to see Gentle Giant really break out into the action figure field. Their statuary and bust are simply top of the line. I think Marvel Toys (formerly Toy Biz) has also greatly improved but Iıll have to see how they weather 2008.
Toyline We Never Thought Would Be Made: Mezco/The Goonies
Capt. Collector: I know itıs a sub-line, but I still have to say the McQuarrie Star Wars figures are my choice. They were demanded by fans for over a decade, and when Hasbro caved they outsold the regular figures 10-1. On the other hand, itıs hard to deny Mezco, because they are such a cool company and really make good toys. Canıt wait for their Heroes line!
Umpire: Just a very old property, I never thought this could find a home.
Toygodd: Who would have ever thought we would see this license made into figures?! They had great sculpts and some cool accessories. Mezco was the right company to make these!
Randy: Iım with Captain Collector on this. McQuarrie SW figures were an amazing line for the 30th anniversary and unexpected. But Mezcoıs The Goonies figures are really something I didnıt see coming. Truly, one of the movie lines you never thought would be taken up.
