PITTSBURGH TOY SHOW EVOLVES INTO THE STEEL CITY CON!
Pittsburgh, -- Orangestone Promotions, Inc., Promoters of Pennsylvania¹s Largest Toy and Pop Culture Convention ) has announced very exciting news. Beginning with its 2007 season the Pittsburgh Toy, Comic & Childhood Collectibles Show
will operate under the new name of Steel City Con. As the convention has continued to grow it has found the need to make itself more identifiable to its audience. Mr. Alessandria, promoter of the Pittsburgh event stated that ³while we still own the rights to the name Pittsburgh Toy, Comic & Childhood Collectibles Show, we saw a need to make this event more identifiable to our fans.² The change in name reflects a move away from local appeal to a more dominant national identity. Created 17 years ago as the place where people could go to find toys they played with as a child but lost when they got older, the Pittsburgh Toy, Comic & Childhood Collectibles Show will continue its original promise under the name Steel City Con. Thousands always find a massive selection of New and Vintage Toys. Under the name Steel City Con, the convention promoter believes that this convention will continue to stay relevant in the lives of its attendees and will continue to attract bigger crowds at each event.
